Bending sheet metal with a swivel v-block
For aesthetic reasons, it is often desirable to avoid traces of bending and bending marks when bending sheet metal. Swivel bending jaws reduce the marks when bending sheet metal. Virtually mark-free bending is possible.
Bending thin metal sheet
V-blocks with small v-openings are used to bend thin metal sheet. Bending thin metal sheet on the Stierli makes perfect sense as it frees up the vertical press brake from bending small or simple bent parts. Thin sheet bending work can also be carried out more quickly on the Stierli bending machine.
A manual machine or the standard CNC control are sufficient for simple bent parts. For more demanding bending sequences and very fast program times, the CNC-W or CNC-WP models are recommended for bending thin sheet metal.
Bending with angle measurement (measuring v-block)
Very precise bending is possible with the integrated angle measurement. Differing material-related spring-back tolerances, as occur frequently in copper, can be compensated for automatically. This provides a high level of process reliability and high precision when bending.
Mark-free bending
The integrated swivel jaws in the bending v-block allow virtually mark-free bending.
Companies that operate as suppliers on a contract basis appreciate this option of mark-free bending.

Bending thick sheet metal
The Stierli bending machine is ideal for bending thick sheet metal. Ease the burden on your press brake by bending short and thick sheets more effectively on the Stierli bending machine.
Tool changes within seconds
Changing the v-block on the Stierli bending machine is very quick. With the quick clamping system, a tool change can be completed in a matter of seconds.
